Our Process

California Closets Design Consultants and installers are trained to provide you with a distinct and unique door design and experience. The combination of design skill and product choice creates a customized solution that responds to your needs and wishes exactly.

Complimentary Consultation

During our complimentary consultation, the designer will measure the area and discuss options and finishes. We can also match the finishes we’ve installed in your closet on the doors for a cohesive look.

Our designer will then provide 3D renderings of the proposed design, giving you instant changes and options you’d like to explore. The size of the doors are customized to the opening required or desired with no construction necessary.

Once you have chosen your design, we build the header for the closet opening or add sliding doors to a California Closets Wardrobe. The doors are manufactured locally in our Westchester and Miami showrooms, which allows for quicker delivery times to your home. We use imported German hardware for the tracks and frames with Italian melamine for inserts and frames as well.

The lead time to installation is generally three weeks upon placing your order with a one-year warranty.

Installation

All our sliding door solutions are custom designed to fit within your unique space. Whether selecting an inset door, room divider, wardrobe door, or barn door, our designers work with you from start to finish to ensure a seamless fit into your space.

When you have completed the custom design process with our designers, we then provide the chosen solutions and measurements to our local manufacturing team. The door panels are cut to order and assembled with the selected hardware.

Once the doors are completed, our installation team takes pride in carefully inserting your new solution. The floor tracks are attached using a removable adhesive so that your flooring is not damaged. The team ensures the final installed product meets our high quality standards in both design and construction.
